22 Things I Wish I had Learned Sooner

1.       You’re right where you need to be.

2.       It’s okay to be weird. It makes you, you. Some people will even like it.

3.       Your 17 year long awkward stage DOES come to an end. Push through

4.       You get to define yourself. You don’t have to be what others say you are.

5.       Loving others will always be worth it.

6.       It’s okay to need other people. Life isn’t meant to be lived in seclusion.

7.       Anything can be used as a learning opportunity, even the biggest mistakes you make. Pain can be useful.

8.       Saying “Thank you” is a big deal. Say it all the time, to everyone, everywhere.

9.       All friendships aren’t meant to last forever. It’s okay to wish people the best and let them go.

10.   There are people out there who will treat you so well, you won’t know how to handle it. Don’t settle for the ones who treat you cheaply.

11.   Listening is more important than speaking.

12.   If something matters to you, stand up for it.

13.   I’m not the center of the universe, even though I thought I was for a long time.

14.   “Doubt is always gonna be there, but you don’t always have to be there for doubt.” – Josh Colfer (I love you and I miss you always)

15.   Life is constantly up and down. The trajectory isn’t constant. Get used to it

16.   There is no greater joy than doing what you love, surrounded by people that you love.

17.   Those who challenge you only want the best for you. They want to see you grow and learn.

18.   Don’t be afraid to accept the love that others give you.

19.   Saying you’ll do something and doing them are two very different things.

20.   Fear can be loud. However, the best things life has to offer are on the other side of it.

21.   No matter how old you get, you’re never too old to learn.

22. You'll never have it all figured out.

22, I hope you’re even weirder than 21.
